Some wise words from our glowing friend Goethe. It is said that Germans like to set things on fire. I must say it does not surprise me much. I like having fires as well in these cold days. Fake fires on the monitor and always some candles. The only problem is that I have encountered many bugsuicides these days. The ladybugs play around my desk for a night and then let themselves fall in the candle. They always seem to do it right after I started caring for them..

Today is Blue Monday, which is said to be the most depressing day of the year. I hope you dont really feel depressed and I'm trying not to burn too many candles today incase the ladybugs feel particulary suicidal today.
What is kind of funny is that it is blue monday and as I've been kindly told, this blogpost is some kind of birthdaypost because it is number 365 (yeah the only connection here is the word blue so it is not really funny, but still).

Now in other news. WE HAVE A WINNER! For the give-away. First of all thank you all so much for the kind words and interest. Because I was so happy about this, I decided to pick two other winners who will receive some kind of postcard - minipackage as well (like a secondprize of sorts).

So my blog got 222 followers and I know this may not be so much in the world of blogging and it doesnt matter, but I think its nice and I like the number. so first of all thank you for following me. Although that may be a weird thing to thank someone for..
ANYWAY. I always like it when people do these give-awaythings and I always think I should do that too someday and this seems a good occassion. I was thinking to make a little package for the winner with some treasures, maybe some selfmade books or drawings or something, and of course, some prints of photos (of your choice.. although I only have the negatives of the past 2 months or so here).. Well.. Just a little surprise..

My first mail in Hamburg was very exciting because it was a SOVA-mail from Martin, right after the release-party where I got the fancy bag. And this issue is an especially cool one because Synchrodogs are on the cover and there are lots of really great artists in it. Check it out for yourself! You can get your copy now, for only 10 euro in the bookshop! Or you can get the poster (photo of me showing the poster - skirt not included. made by me!), for only 3 euro! (I hope you read this in a tell-sell kind of voice, because that's how I wrote it. If not. Read it again with the voice.)
Today I got four envelopes in the mail. That is really pretty exciting isn't it! I still don't know how the postman gets into the building, and actually if you do know, don't tell me, because I kind of like having a few mysteries in my building.

Summer - package exchange with Lotta. She gave me wonderfulness (second picture) that made me extremely happy. One (three) of the things were these beautiful camel (kameel) maps (shitty webcam picture doesnt do them justice) that I've been in love with since I first saw them in our art supplies store but never bought them. tack tack tack <3.

I'm having a cold and am hiding in the hallway of this beautiful house because we have internet here and I'm getting tired of being with my parents and brother 24/7. After tomorrow we'll be touring through the desert for 3 weeks. whoop.

"Why do I keep hearing this sniffing sound?"

We went to two art supply stores today. The big and amazing one where they have everything and you have to try really hard not to buy everything, and the cute little one that had a major sale.

The gridpaper is already put to good use in a little collage I've been making. You can see a detail here, I might post more of it later.

I love making and receiving packages. I have made a lot of exciting runs to the mail these past few weeks. Thank you so much Evelyn, Deak, Lotta, Karijn & Martin. It was all amazingly beautiful♥

Hello all,

This is my new bag! You may be wondering: how did you get it? Well, let me tell you:

Not so long ago, I, for some reason, found Martin's tumblr and I checked out his portfolio, blog, and flickr. I think I then send him some sort of weird message telling him how much I loved all the things he made and that he was my new hero, or something like that. And he turned out to be really nice and we emailed back and forth and talked on last.fm and stuff and then he suggested to trade totebags. A little later we decided that we would trade a totebag and a summer mixcd.

So when I found this in my mailbox a few days ago, I literally ran upstairs:

Inside was yet another package:

And inside were the most beautiful things I've ever seen. I was so happy. We wanted to trade totebags and this is what I got :D

This is the CD, really pretty.

And the music on it is really good as well :D And there is a song called 'Bobby' on it! hehe. Made me really happy.

Some other news: I just had my last day of work at H&M, I feel kind of sad about it because I had some really sweet co-workers and I will miss having them around pretty much every day.

On the brighter side, I am going to France for a week of vacation with my parents. My train leaves tomorrow morning.
