Once, last year, we had to make a comic. Even though It took me way too much time, I was quite happy with the result. Shortly after, in a village in Australia called Nihill we found a beautiful deserted trainstation where trains would only come every other day (and only 1 every day), and it looked so much like I'd imagine the station of my drawing. My father took a picture of me.

Sanne is going to stay with me for a few days, yay! This is when we had yummy yummy fika in Muggen, in Stockholm, which is funny because it means mosquitos in Dutch.

I talked about the sea before, but this little beach, and this part of the ocean was by far my favourite of all the seas and beaches I've seen in my life. I will tell you how we met.
It was a bit of a windy day, not raining like the days before, but not quite calm yet, we had arrived late at the campside that day, so the sun would set soon. We had to walk fast. There was a small 'inland sea' that we had to walk by to get to the end. We passed empty beach houses and abondened fisher boats. As we got closer, the sea, even in between land, became wilder, it was making strange turns and twists as if a large animal was hiding under it. A few men were fishing, their wives sat behind them, eating sandwiches and yelling at the kids who were running around. At the end of the beach was a small stairs to the rocks. When we jumped we could just reach it, the sea was coming closer, soon you wouldn't be able to use the stairs at all.
There was a lookout, but also a small beach, not much bigger than an average living room. The rocks were shaped as if they were made for us, viewers. I settled down between them, let them protect me from the strong wind. And I just watched. Again and again waves came rolling to the shore, surrounded by watersmoke, just to crash down and flood the beach up to a few steps away from my hiding place. Seven small waves and one big one. During the small waves, little crabs came out of the sand to watch the sea as well.
I somehow wanted to capture the moment forever and took many pictures, but after a while I realized that I would just remember it anyway so I stopped and just enjoyed.

As of today I'm starting a project for myself, valuable nothing. The art of doing nothing and not feeling guilty about it, treating it as if it is the most important thing you can ever do.

Like many of the places we visited in Australia, this was also just a one-night stay. So the next morning I went back to enjoy it one final time, thinking I could stay there forever, and just thinking about it makes me completely happy again.

We imagined how it would feel to be very small and you had to jump between the white stripes on the road. It was extremely cold, but I was very happy.
The pictures are made by Manon.

I really enjoyed this German bread in Berlin and was very happy when I discovered they have it in the supermarket here as well.
First one taken on a bench outside a hotel, using an improvised knife.. We're designers afterall. Second in Lena and Christopher's very cute kitchen.

Tomorrow we're going on an excursion to the end of the world with our Leisure-class because of our religion semester. I am very very excited and today feels like sunday.
These are the remains of an afternoon making religious movies in the secret toilet in school.

Manon at the deserted Tempelhof airport. It was very beautiful and big and empty and misty, but also very very freezing cold, so she looks sad in the last photo.

My parents gave us a name for ourselves and a name from the arts. My name is Bobby Lilith and they named me after Lilith Am Roten Meer by Anselm Kiefer. I've seen it before in real life, but was too young to understand it. In the last years I've taken a lot of pride in my name, so I guess you can imagine my delight when I turned the corner in Hamburger Bahnhof, and suddenly saw it there. I'd seen it on pictures, but it's always so much more impressive in real life, like all Kiefer's work.
I am very proud to have this piece with me forever, because it's incredibly beautiful.

It is my birthday today. I became 20 years of age today, so officially not a teenager anymore. Hooray. I got very nice presents and there were/are sweet people around me. I am happy.
p.s. this may be me at a birthday, but it is probably just any other regular day, looking amazing as a toddler.

Most deliciously lunch with Sanne, Laura and Loikie in Stockholm, in a very cute cafe where the sun just began to shine as soon as we sat down.

Monday night, after passing our first quarter, we took the bus to Berlin. Lena and her housemate Christopher were so very kind to offer us a space to sleep in their beautiful appartment. Besides Lena and Christopher, we met many more super nice and wonderful people. It was perfect. Very very cold, but perfect.

I haven't really posted any drawings here I think, not for a year or so. I am not quite confident about my drawing, but I love doing it. I got some new pencils (0.05 fineliner and a 'cool grey' marker) and wanted to draw men with beards. You're also not supposed to shave your moustache this month. I'll try to let mine grow, you too?

The sun only shines into my room in the early morning. Usually I'm very busy oversleeping around that time, but when I work all night, it's easier to get out of bed in the morning, so I'm planning to enjoy the beautiful shadows in a few hours :).

Also, thank you all for your kind words on previous posts. You are all very sweet. If you'd be here, I'd let you hug my plastic doll, she likes hugging.

One of the things I did for midterm. The idea is that the handle will work as a moodring and then the colour of the light will change according to your mood, something I illustrated very professionally.
It's definitely not my best work, but it killed my fingers and my heart, so I might as well show you.

Hello,

You are all very nice and we are also very nice and we want to go to berlin (november 15-16). Do you know someone or are you the person who has a nice floor where we could sleep on? We made this animation especially for you to show you we are amazing.
We are very creative (design academy...) so in return for your kindness, we can make you a beautiful package full of things you love. We could also bake cookies, or give peace, love and understanding. Or all of the above.

Lots of love,
Manon, Bobby, Michelle
