Hello,
I work at H&M now, I don't know if I've said that already? Anyway. It's quite fun. Hard work, lots and lots of walking but the people are all rather lovely. And I'm surrounded by pretty clothes.
Do you remember my last post where I talked about the lizardy outfits? Well we happened to have the dress and the jacket and I'm too short for the dress, but the jacket is perfect. I'd been eyeing it up for two days, melting everytime I walked past it (this happened a lot, I can tell you). So wednesday I finally bought it. So happy with it.
Anyway. I tried to make an outfit around it, but I couldn't be bothered to fit all my clothes because it's extremely hot, so this is all I could think of.
I made a lot of pictures in the kitchen yesterday and already uploaded the one with lots of the pictures on lookbook, but that got deleted because it had too many pics.

Oh and I would also like to say that I really appreciate all of your comments. I'm horrible when it comes to replying but I read them and they make me happy, so thank you.

As promised, the follow-up post.
What you can see here:
  1. More drawings, are you getting tired of them yet? I am a little bit I want to try something new now.
  2. The only pieces of clothing I will allow myself to buy in the next couple of months. I love it so so so much. The trousers will probably look horrible, but I think I can pull of the shirt.
  3. A video from Yves Saint Laurent with Michael Pitt. It has 5 of the best things in life in it:
Michael Pitt
Fashion
French talking
Black and white
Texts you don't really understand

Hello dear people,
This post will contain pictures of me, as soon as I've got this posted I'll make another post with other things, because it felt wrong putting it all in one post. yeah..
  1. My glasses and me. I have to more but they're ugly anyways and I dont know where I have them.
  2. I have the mykrolab poster of myself and my mum wanted to hang it on the wall. It freaks me out to see my face that big on the wall everytime. And the pictures don't show the impressiveness of it. I'll get it off the wall soon.
  3. some crappy photobooth pictures of my new summer outfit. I don't really know why I post that here.

Vintage dress from Portugal, Madonna H&M tee, bow from another dress, J. Campbell wedges.

Hello,
I had my Diana F+ pics developed and I scanned the negatives in (getting them printed is so expensive), I should redo it sometime with a proper negative-scanner, but for now it will do.
Pretty much all my pictures are ugly because I still don't really get my Diana F+, but I'm going to take more pictures with it and hope I'll be able to use it correctly one day.
Anyway, points for you if you can identify what's on every picture (even I can't).

More drawings! This time the theme is Mykrolab_ because I drew the pictures from Mykrolab_.
This drawing thing is good for me. I started wondering why I found it so relaxing and then I figured it's just like maths:
First you start to think what you want to achieve, then you're going to collect the information you have and sort them out (jawline, eyes here, lips there, nose in between, some ears, hair, neck, shirt), then you're going to find a way to get to your result with the information you have and then you can just start to fill the gaps.
Maybe that only made sense in my head..
Anyways I'm getting better I think, which feels good. The last picture is better than the others, I'm going to show you the process as well (I was so afraid of fucking it up, that I made a scan everytime I got something done :P)

RIGHT. enough talking:

Bobby

Hello lovelies,

Mykrolab_ was lovely. I went there with two friends (Sanne and Liza. Sanne got a bit mad at me: "Bobby! You didn't tell me everybody would dress in black and look so stylish. I would've dressed differently, I feel uncomfortable now." oops.)
I really loved the exhibition. It looked so amazing, all these huge black/white pictures lined up on the walls. And everybody who was there looked amazing as well. I am so proud to be part of something like this. It made me really happy.
I've made pictures but they're a bit shit because I felt weird for taking pictures :P I made some with my Diana as well, but I'll develop them on monday and then hopefully I can scan them in next weekend.
Anyways, this is what I can show you for now:

Oh hey that's me up there, in the corner (I could've made a R.E.M. reference but I chose not to do it, because.. well I don't know why. I'm going to listen to the song now!)

I don't know if I've said it already, but all the portraits are made by Wouter Vandenbrink. He makes amazing pictures and he's a lovely person as well.

Today I had to take pictures at a 50th birthday party on my old high school. It was fun, I could borrow my dad's Nikon D300 and his flash. I think I'm going to save up for a flash like that (not exactly the same, but a little simpler and cheaper version) and a new body for my nikon. I can hopefully get one for 100 euros. Because my body just takes a day off every now and then and then it deletes all the picture I'd made and it's annoying. And the flash would be so cool. I could make amazingly pretty portraits. Anyone who wants to model for me when I have the flash?

That's all,
bye.
Love, Bobby

Hello again,
I have some proper scans of my drawings. And I drew two more. The one that's upside down is only sort of acceptable if it's upside down and the boy turned out a little better than the girl. All original pictures by David Koppelaar, apart from the upsidedowndrawing, that's from pretenditneverhappened.
Okay that's it. I promise not to post anything else until the weekend.
Love, Bobby

p.s. Don't forget to come to MykroLab_ this friday. The pictures look amazing, they shot lots of amazing people. Check out the website and come to Meneer de Wit (Postjesweg 2, Amsterdam) this friday between 20:00 and 22:00.
