Making patterens and missing my Hamburg. The sounds and smells of the harbour, the cold salty wind prickling your face, the beers and bretzels and the foreign chatter. I try not to think of it too much, because you should try to be happy where you are, but sometimes the missing is just there all of a sudden.

Today we celebrated sinterklaas. It was a lot of fun as always and there were many great presents and poems! It really is my favourite holiday ever ever ever. Tomorrow my girlgang is coming over for part two!
I gave my parents a drawing of my brother and I. He doesn't really have pink hair and neither of us actually wear eyeshadow but we do have freckles and glasses!

2010 is almost over. I've been sending out packages and cards to the ones I love and who have made my year good/better. I think 2010 has been in a way, a good year for me. I moved into a proper apartment in Amsterdam, lazied around and got to know Amsterdam even more, met a lot of amazing and inspiring people and also some good friends. Then moved to Eindhoven, where I found myself a home in the form of Design Academy. I met a wonderful group of people there who I can now call my friends. Besides that, there were a lot of nice days spent with friends, having weird little partys, watching movies, seeing new places (Paris, Antwerp, Malmö), etc.

But at the same time there has also been this feeling of unhappiness and the feeling of failure. First in Amsterdam where I was surrounded by people who seemed to have their lives all sorted out, who seemed to know what they were doing, and now at the Design Academy where the bars are set very high and you constantly get confrontated with yourself, which is a new thing for me that I will have to get used to.

So for the new year I hope to meet even more amazing people, see more beautiful places, have more magical days and nights and let the feelings of failure and self-doubt control me not so much. Let's toast!

I hope you all have an amazing new year and I wish you all the best. For those of you who I've talked to / got to know / met : thank you ♥

I made this mixcd a few weeks ago for a friends birthday. And now it's my present for you to celebrate a new year coming our way. download it here.

Be careful with the fireworks and I'll see you in the new year.

Love,
Bobby

Yep I passed LAB, I'm really happy.
Now finally some free time. My birthday is on monday so yesterday I had an early birthday party in Amsterdam, which was really nice (and I got photographed for vice, so I felt loved again, in eindhoven they just stare at me when I wear something weird). Tonight friends are coming over and sunday some family and monday the second half of the first semester starts. Quite excited.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend and week.

Oh and something else:
If you maybe want to exchange packages with me, just let me know :) Now that I dont have to be in school from 9 - 10 anymore, I'd like to make more personal stuff and keeping it all to myself is boring, so I could send it out. That's even more fun if you receive something nice in return. Anything will do.

Love,
Bobby

Yeah I don't really know what this is about either, but I kinda wanted to do something with the Kate Nash Birds lyrics and I am trying to get back into the rhythm of making things.
Introductioncamp was pretty amazing. I'm really tired but it's okay because we've done a lot of lovely things, had some great parties and I met tons of wonderful and inspiring people. As soon as the pictures are online, I'll probably post some of them here.

Hello,
I've never really showed you any of my graphic works I think? apart from the Pony Kids poster. So here we go. (not really in any specific older although it goes somewhat from newish to oldish, and description under each photo).

some 'alternative filmposters' I made somewhere this year. You probably should've watched the movies to 'get' them completely. And I recommend them all!

I made a birthdaycard for someone and then started playing with these 3D object in photoshop.

I got paid for this! hehe. It's a logo I made last summer. The idea is that they 'zoom in' on certain things, hence the simplified magnifying glass. And because the interact with people, I made the e's look at each other. They liked blue.

An invitation for a party my parents gave for my uncle and aunt. The thing you see is a bridge and a timeline. The bridge is in the place where they met each other (rotterdam), the map in the background is from Rotterdam as well.

In high school we had to make our own political party and our was called 'mens' (human being) and I made the logo and the flyers (there are more, and there is a program and a video, all in this style). We were extremely social.

The newyearscard I made for 2010. We printed them out and wrote something personal on the grey part. Or just our names.

Just a little something I made when I had these lyrics stuck in my head.

A 'yay we're moving in with each other'-card I made for some friends of my parents. I blurred their contact information.

Another little something I made.

Another idea for the happy2010 card. But my parents didn't like it.

Lay-out for a website. I don't think I've ever used it.

Another website lay-out. I have used this one for a while.

A wallpaper.

Another wallpaper.

Yet another wallpaper, this is one of my oldest. But I still quite like it.

And another wallpaper. It was meant to be more of a joke, but it took me hours hehe.

So, that's it. I hope you liked it. And you can always hire me if you want! Which sounds a bit weird, but you know what I mean.

Helloo,
I made this poster :D The wonderful Edel asked me to make a poster for the Pony Kids night she and her friends organized. And I was really happy to participate. I made a few posters and they chose this one to get printed / use for the facebook page.
I like how it looks like the pony is fucking the ball and looking all sexy at you. I didn't intend to make it look like that, but it just happened. And note the highlights I gave her!

Another thing: is there anyone who'd like to take me to an Amsterdam International Fashionweek show? please please please please? I'll probably go downtown, but I'd love to see a show. So if you happen to think: "oh hey I still need some one as a plus one for that and that show, or: Oh hey I have tickets for that show but I can't go, what to do with my ticket?" WELL, I'm here! I promise to behave. And if you must, you can even pick out my clothes, so that I don't look like a fool.
Okay thank you.

Currently sitting here in my underwear in the dark because it's so hot and I'm trying to cool down so I can wear my twocoloured tights in half an hour for work. I need more summerclothes, everything is too hot or too dark.
